Construction updates

All residents of Lawrence Heights may remain in their community during the Revitalization process if they choose.

1A & 1B Updates:
1A: Final site servicing top works will occur in April 2019; building occupied in Oct. 2018
1B: Remainder of site servicing base work to occur in Spring 2019. Building construction on-going, formwork progressing to ground floor; construction completion expected in late summer/early fall 2020.

North East District (NED) Updates:
Demolition has begun in Bredonhill Court, Bagot Court, Polaris Lane and some units on Cather Crescent. Demolition will be completed by May 2019. Construction of Turtle Island Road, Hooyo Terrace and a portion of Green Gardens Boulevard will start in the Spring of 2019 and will be completed by December 2019. Construction on the townhouse blocks will start in early 2020 with completion expected in early 2021.

The next units to be relocated and demolished are the units in 1-11 & 123-133 Bagot Court, 9-78 Cather Crescent and 41-83 Varna Drive. The expected timing for relocation is Summer, 2020.

The construction manager will make every effort to limit noisy activities within typical working hours and regularly scheduled vibration monitoring will occur as part of the requirements of the building permit. Regular street sweeping and other dust control measures will also be applied to minimize the scattering of dust and debris.
